I think Rockets are out of the race. Anthony won't consider a franchise where player are disrespected.
They weren't ever in the race. Carmelo isn't leaving the Eastern Conference.

Its not just about talent. Its about complimentary pieces. The Bulls core is all defense. Add a pure scorer like Melo and its golden. At least in theory. That's why we want him.
Complimentary Pieces.
Teamwork.
Its a concept.
Without rose those complimentary pieces mean nothing and hate to break it to you but rose is stoudemire 2.0. You guys sign melo and you will have zero capspace for years. We can sign another star next year.

Really? Name the last player that went from MVP level to miss 2 years with knee issues to return to that level again? I'll be here waiting all day for you to find someone
I think his point is that you don't understand the difference between chronic and acute injuries. To my knowledge, there is no historical comparison to Derrick Rose's situation right now, so the question can't be answered.

That's not really the point though. Lin is under contract to the Houston Rockets and wears #7. Melo is not under contract to Houston and they pretty much pretended he didn't exist. Yeah, he probably won't be there if Melo goes to them, but he's still an employee of the organization right now.

Exactly so your assumption that rose comes back fine is way off base. And fyi I guy who's knees tear 2 years in a row seems to me to be a chronic issue. And a big laugh at that we won't be relevant for a decade. If you all follow the nba you would realize every 3 years things change.
It is quite the ordeal to read what you type. Giving my head pains. Bless.
