This is why I personally would trade WCJ +4 for Wiseman. At worst it's basically swapping out one roleplaying big for another who will have 2 additional years on his rookie deal. At least Wiseman has some star potential which I dont see with WCJ.
I'm sorta meh on WCj, but I just see a Kwame Brown level mistake taking Wiseman. Bigs have become less valuable in the league. IMO, there are always going to be reasonably-priced starting talent-level C's in FA, where other positions don't have the same availability of talent.
3 of the top 5ish centers were featured on 3 of the 4 conference finals teams this year. If everyone else is only getting a reasonable starting center, or an undersized center, that seems like an opportunity to exploit.
Of course it depends what you think of Wisemans ability to significantly outperform that average level, which remains an open question.
I have no idea what to think about Wiseman's ability. He might as well be a HS player...that's the rub for me.
