Not once did they condemn the looting, the crime or the madness blm supporters have caused. During their convention they didn’t even mention anything, like nothing happened or is going on lol. Democrats want the chaos right now, they are trying to use that and the black community in order to win an election. Such a dirty game they are playing. This is one of the reasons Trump will get re elected.
Donald Trump increases the likelihood of racial violence because he refuses to empathize with minorities, racial injustice, and systemic racism. Instead, Trump normalizes racism, division, and hate by assuring his base that there's nothing wrong with how they think and act. They are taking cues from Trump: The "send her back" chants, "very fine people on both sides", retweeting the video of a Trump supporter saying "White Power", calling black players kneeling for the anthem "sons of bitches", refusing to condemn the actions of Kyle Rittenhouse, and a laundry list of other incidents.
Keep in mind this is the same guy who had to be nudged multiple times to condemn the KKK as a presidential candidate.
Keep in mind that this is the same guy who wanted the death penalty for the Central Park 5 and to this day refuses to walk back his comments after their exoneration.
Pretending that Trump is not playing a primary or significant role in the racial violence in this country is absolutely laughable. There has never been a President who's caused this much division among people in modern times. He ran his campaign on it.
Democrats talked about the protests and riots at the convention. Barack Obama and Joe Biden have consistently encouraged people to protest peacefully, but do you know what they made a bigger conversation about?
Why the protests and riots have happened.
Too many people are pointing to the violence with the desire to squarely converse on it; but, I'll refer you to Martin Luther King Jr.'s "The Other America" speech on why doing that is irresponsible.
Martin Luther King Jr. wrote:Let me say as I've always said, and I will always continue to say, that riots are socially destructive and self-defeating. I'm still convinced that nonviolence is the most potent weapon available to oppressed people in their struggle for freedom and justice. I feel that violence will only create more social problems than they will solve. That in a real sense it is impracticable for the Negro to even think of mounting a violent revolution in the United States. So I will continue to condemn riots, and continue to say to my brothers and sisters that this is not the way. And continue to affirm that there is another way.
But at the same time, it is as necessary for me to be as vigorous in condemning the conditions which cause persons to feel that they must engage in riotous activities as it is for me to condemn riots. I think America must see that riots do not develop out of thin air. Certain conditions continue to exist in our society which must be condemned as vigorously as we condemn riots. But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice, equality, and humanity. And so in a real sense our nation's summers of riots are caused by our nation's winters of delay. And as long as America postpones justice, we stand in the position of having these recurrences of violence and riots over and over again. Social justice and progress are the absolute guarantors of riot prevention.
This is why people are upset about Trump. He only condemns the effect and refuses to take steps to resolve the
cause. Democrats are doing both and that's why this country will be in much better hands with Biden. Riots and looting are bad, but keep that same energy with the black lives that are gone because of bad law enforcement. If you're not going to, then it's very clear what you unfortunately support.
This isn't about law and order, because if it was, Trump is the last person qualified to talk about it. He consistently breaks the law and bends the Constitution in any way he sees fit. And there's damn sure no order in this country.
This is about PEOPLE; this is about black lives; this is about making progress to end systemic racism that has oppressed black people for way too long in this country. We are sick and tired of it, and if the government isn't going to invest into black people, then these protests and riots are never going to end.
