I think there's a good bit who question what they're doing, especially if it's a man who has a ton of influence on Rose. The Bulls should give all the **** in the world about what Reggie Rose thinks. He's the leader of Rose's camp.

No, this is like Cleveland cow tailing to Maverick Carter. If Derrick feels this way, I'd tell him that's not how this is handled. Look, Derrick can pissed that the Bulls aren't putting "enough" around him, but the only move that Rose could openly criticize for lack of talent would be letting Gordon, Asik or Korver walk. The rest have been replaced by superior players.

This is an unfair criticism of a team that is in the thick of a playoff race WITHOUT Rose. The Bulls aren't scrapping to make the playoffs with a healthy Rose. They're a high 40s win team without him.

Look, I'll say it: Derrick Rose playing garbage against Miami certainly didn't help. He's not blameless. He played ineffective the first time, was injured the next year. I'm not blaming him, but to sit here and basically say the same thing that you would say about KG's Minnesota teams is false.

All because he's Rose's brother/manager.

Too bad his younger brother refused to recruit anyone of them. Perhaps he should have showed his brother the light 2 years ago!

Its also too bad that his 'client' was drafted to his hometown, has never played in a losing team and is making millions as per this organisation, which in turn pays for this clowns 'hard work'.

Imagine what he would be saying if his 'client' was John Wall or any other hyped kid that has ended up on a terrible franchise.

Get over yourself Reggie, you unappreciative dirtbag.

4 more season and then derrick is a free agent. Dont let me down Jerry, put up the $$$ to get the honey...cause Pooh likes his honey.

Im not very concerned with the comments because they are the truth. We see it so of course Derrick and his team sees it. But keep it behind doors fellas, this makes everyone look bad.

Or could be very disheartening as a Bulls player, if you hear that your franchise player (by extension through his elder brother) feels that way.

+1
lol....mental toughness hasn't been one of this team's strengths. remember when ol' lu heard the trade rumors a few years back? his game went into the toilet......

The fact that Maverick Carter is better at being a rep than Reggie Rose should tell you how stupid it was of Reggie Rose to say this.

Oh yeah, let's give it no more than two days before Reggie says "These were my opinions, not Derrick's".

Something to consider:

It was theorized that Derrick came out and said he was a while away last week to temper expectations. However, a while back, if I remember correctly, somebody in the FO was quoted as saying our big move this year would be getting Derrick back. We've got conflicting approaches here.

The team genuinely believes the team, as currently constructed + Derrick, could win a title. Derrick's camp, and possibly Derrick as well, on the other hand, doesn't believe that to be the case.

Things are going to get interesting. Unfortunately, Reggie did this just as the deadline passed. Perhaps if he had said something earlier we'd have been more likely to make a splash. Hell, maybe he did, and throwing the FO under the bus like this is punishment for remaining dormant.

Remember when Rose had his MVP press conference. He said something like "I don't have Yes men around me."

Yea. These inner circles are dangerous to a team and player image. Just ask Lebron.

I love that the Bulls will not bend over backwards for an entourage.

Have some principles in this deathspiral of an age we live in.

Good Job Reggie, someone has to hold our frugal ownership's feet to the fire. We need someone putting the pressure on themselves instead of letting them hard cap themselves. I love how Paxson can go on the radio and say they hard cap themselves when they could have easily had the same team without a hard cap. I hope with someone like Reggie we don't let opportunities to add talent be held up by costs. The bulls have banked the most money in the league since MJ left, it wouldn't hurt them to rank #3 in profits instead of #1 for a couple of years.

I am already unhappy he doesn't sit with "his" team on the bench, and all signs say he should be ready this year (and soon).

I'll reserve judgment until I hear for Drose himself or see when he returns. But if he sits out this season consider me someone who has little respect for our franchise player.

Maybe it's time for Drose to be his own man and not his brother's puppet. This is a rant but I'm fustrated that "the comeback" has taken so long, especially since he and Addias decided to profit from it.

My sentiments as well, though im prepared to give Rose the benefit of the doubt until he returns.

Kelly Dwyer@KDonhoops

@NickFriedell The problem is that Reggie Rose sounds like a fanboy that doesn't get how trades work, like some awful message board wonk.

Not sure how twitter works exactly, so not sure whether it's Kelly Dwyer responding to Nick, or Kelly quoting Nick, either way...

Its pretty obvious where Derrick is told to sit out the year. This is a shame.

The guy is ready, the rest is mental..his brother is telling him to sit out. What a f*** nugget!

The Bulls tried for Bron/Wade and gave away a good pick and Hinrich to try and get it done

They didn't sign.

That was the moment. In the NBA you get your moment, try for it, and if it doesnt work, you wait til the next moment.

Right now is assuredly not the moment. RR should buy a franchise and give it a whirl if it's so easy.

Reggie Rose probably traded for Dwyane Wade and Kevin Durant in NBA2k13 and thinks the Bulls can do the same because it's the most realistic game on the market.

Kelly Dwyer@KDonhoops

I'm as harsh on the Chicago Bulls as both writers and fans come. But to kill the team for no blockbuster trade shows a lack of NBA knowledge

This could also kill team chemistry.

The players should look at Rose like the leader he is when he gets back.

Now?

Now they might look at him and wonder who he even wants around and if he shares his brothers views. That's a lot harder to follow than the "Why can't I be MVP" Rose
D-ROSE. BIGGER. STRONGER. FASTER THAN YOU CHRIS PAUL.
