how could Loves deal be soon the worst in the league? I guess if you mean if he never plays another meaningful game in for the duration of the deal, then yeah obviously it's a terrible situation. But that is highly highly unlikely given he had successful surgery and is projected back in 6-8 weeks. I think he will come back strong and get traded at this point.
Bottoming out is ok I guess at this point since their is clear locker room divisions and the vets are jealous they are being regarded as chumps by the org wanting to move forward etc. I think Drew will be soon to follow in the exit lane as he is starting to do much of the same thing Lue did playing the vets against Altman's wishes and it still not resulting in wins.
I say play the damn under 25 core even more and tank hard if you are going to move on from the old players, hell even to the point of moving them out of the rotation completely benching them all. Korver,Hill and Thompson as well. None of those guys are part of this roster going forward.

In regards to love contract: He’s good but is already overpaid. He’s not worth that much. Mix in he’s always injured and I believe gonna age terribly. The last 2-3 years in the deal will be brutal.
On top of that he doesn’t fit our trajectory so the signing made no sense.
In regards to the team yeah we might as well full on commit to rebuild because we’re close to worse team in nba. Thompson shouldn’t get any sort of priority over nance for example.
I knew this team wouldn’t bottom out like this. Last year was the worst Lebron led team I’ve seen since pre 2007. The names didn’t equate to what you’d expect compared to say the names inter 07 team, which was a much better team.

I didn't have a problem extending Love but I have a big problem how the risk the team took with the extension was not reflected in his salary. Of course the Cavs aren't alone in this. You have teams extending would-be free agents, even RFAs, without getting any sort of discount. A *fair* salary would've been $20-25M all things considered.
