Do you not get it? Playing the hot hand is exactly what Yost did with Gwynn and Hart last year and it completely back fired on him.
Wow you really do not understand at all.
Playing the hot hand between Kapler and Gross is NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, like playing Gwynn over Hart, Dillon over Weeks, or any of the other downright stupid analogies you just used.
The reason that playing Gwynn over Hart backfired last year is all because Hart was supposed to be an every day player, so playing the hot hand over him completely took him out of his rhythm and he struggled for a good stretch of the season as a result.
Neither Kapler nor Gross will ever be everyday players on this team unless about 4-5 outfielders suddenly drop dead. They are simply filling in until our starting center fielder is back in the everyday lineup. Do you understand how that is different?
I'll put this in layman's terms... Playing a bench guy over an everyday starter because the bench guy has a hot bat is stupid. Playing a bench guy over another bench guy because bench guy #1 has a hot bat and you are just trying to buy time for your regular starter to get back is intelligent.
And what a hypocrite you are for nitpicking Kapler's one at-bat tonight after you criticized me for the small sample size I used to demonstrate that Kapler is swinging the bat well right now and that Gross is not.
Sorry for being a condescending jerk.
