Yea, despite being a switch hitters he has massive platoon splits. Should be able to give Durbin or Ortiz a day off vs RHP though. Curious what the corresponding move will be. If they DFA Cameron than Bauers is their only backup OF, if they send down Monasterio then Turang is their backup SS. Wonder if they are putting Contreras on the IL?

Seigler has responded by hitting .277/.416/.465 this year for Nashville, which is 50 points better than his .227 career average. He’s slugging an even 100 points above his .365 career mark.
Is this sustainable in the majors? There are some reasons to be skeptical. He’s posting a .331 BABIP after never before having a BABIP above .300 in the full-season minors. He’s hitting more line drives, but his max exit velocity (107.2 mph), 90th mph exit velocity (101.4 mph) and average exit velocity (90.4) are all well below MLB averages.
He’s also actually swinging and missing a bit more this year (23%) than he did in 2024 (21%), but because of the smaller strike zone in Triple-A, Seigler’s patience is being rewarded, as he’s posting an excellent walk rate (18.4%).
But those on-base skills, versatility and demonstrated ability to grind his way through plenty of MiLB struggles all should serve Seigler well with the Brewers. The chances of Seigler becoming a star might be quite small, but he’s going to be a big leaguer, which seemed very unlikely just a couple of years ago.

Turang is again flashing Gold Glove defense at second base and stealing bags when he gets on base, which he has been doing more than ever. His OBP is fueled by a .288 batting average, which, in turn, is fueled by a .363 BABIP. Fluke? There might be some regression in store, but the improvements are real. Turang's line drive rate is 3% better than the league average, and his hard-hit rate has jumped by 16.3% over last season. Turang has tacked on 4.6 mph to his 2024 average exit velocity.
