Anyway Ayton is on the block for sure, probably we don't have the assets but this is the type of bargain we need.
There is a huge difference, Brunson was instrumental for Mavs, when Luka was out. And there were few teams very interested in him.
Imho is giving Wood 4 years contract more risking than losing him for nothing. Yes, they will be worse next year, but they're not winning anything before 2025 in any cases.
Yes nobody wanted him because in his first 3years he was only a good backup PG (he didn't even can play in PO), last summer his value was very different. And we lost him.
I don't think that a 4y/77 deal is a problem, the cap will go up and his salary will be more or less the MLE.
Anyway we can trade him without problems every day.
3y is perfect for me but if he wants the 4y/77M or he will be FA then i sign him right now.
