Seemed to be out of position a lot on rebounds.
OMax looks like he has the potential to be a pretty damn good wing for us.
Reminds me a little bit of Aminu but with better handles and not near the rebounder.
I love his game and he could very easily become a fan favorite.
Actually, Lively has made some adjustments. Lively has only 2 fouls the whole game. The difference is scrambling on defensive and rebounding positions with moderate success. Therefore, Lively needs not jump every time. While it's not necessarily good, Lively does avoid foul trouble or running out of gas early. I hope Lively could watch the film and analyze when to jump and when not to jump. I think Lively could protect the rim and rebound better in those possessions opponents are very close to baskets or do not have significant size or positioning advantages. With the lack of upper body strength, Lively is better off to stretch arms and expand the body. In case, position is not completely taken, Lively can learn from Chandler how to punch the rebound to teammates. Against smaller players, Lively should have hold the ball high grabbing offensive boards and put the ball right back. Overall, think more thoroughly on how to make good use of length.
In the meantime, strengthen the body and improve the quickness, reaction time and stamina.
One thing I want to note is the inconsistency in shooting. Lively is not in same mechanics shooting the ball, including free throws.
Sometimes, the ball is not coming off fingers but waist. The ball and the waist should have some space. The arc of shooting is determined by the three fingers in the middle. The major power source should come from the legs, not from the shoulder or forearm. Hopefully, Dirk is willing to work with Lively.
