Good luck in game 5.
2:15, three point play. Oh wait, called an offensive foul by the mafia refs.
Moderators: Dirk, HMFFL, Mavrelous

I'm thrilled with the win, although I acknowledge that Portland got a friendly whistle. Good luck the rest of the series. I have grown to respect Dallas quite a bit in this postseason, and I will root for you to win the title if you take out Portland.

Going into the 4th quarter I wasn't even thinking about the game, I was thinking maybe we could steal game 1 or 2 from the Lakers and pull of that upset. And maybe Butler would be ready for the WCF, and maybe the longest of long shots was getting a little closer.
Then 5 minutes passed and I was questioning if we could even get out of the 1st round. I have some work that's not getting done tonight, and I haven't eaten today but I don't have an appetite. Really at this moment, I'm questioning what possesses a guy to follow any sport. How am I as a grown man letting myself get this emotionally invested in something I have no control over?
I know it's childish but I feel like **** right now.

Terry -15 in 31 minutes. Stevenson +13 in 16 minutes. Coach is stupid. Stevenson should have been on the court guarding Roy every single minute.
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. NOT JACKING UP THREES!!!
STUPID STUPID STUPID!!!!!
Every single one of those calls on Chandler...including the tech was BS. Just like the offensive foul on Dirk (4th), Barea (1st) etc. when you guys did the same crap and got to the line every single time. There was much more than what I am typing on this post, but for anyone to come over here and act like one foul was all that Portland got away with today is complete and utter display of homerism on your part.Brautigan1 wrote:Just so you all know, most real Blazer fans, including myself, understand completely that the late foul on Chandler was BS. I don't like game-deciding BS calls any more than anyone.

Granted, even with that we got a big lead beacue you were missing tons of shots you normally make and because of that we should have been able to keep the lead (thanks alot Kidd-Terry-Dirk), but the refs definately played their part in this debacle.

You sound like me, and I'm 30.
Portland's loss in Game 7 of the WCF in 2000 was so scarring for me, and Portland hasn't been out of the first round since. I would like to say that I've grown since then, but defeats like that (and Game 1 in this series) still totally deflate me.
Keep your chin up, though. Dallas will still advance in all likelihood.
