Yes money aren't a problem in our cap situation, anyway we can trade Brunson everyday. Pay him.
Sitting Luka a couple games and let Brunson lead the team would increase his numbers and his trade value in 1 month. No problem.
I'd argue DFS is more valuable than THJ, he had no problem taking a smaller contract. If JB has an overflated self worth, then we're better off without him. He was a huge reason we lost the LAC series, and we dont owe him a thing. We passed on a better player in Trent Jr to draft him, so its not like the Mavs havent done right by him.
DFS made his choice, he got the maximum ocntract he could get, Mavs couldn't offer more under the CBA, he could've waited till the offseason and receive more, but he preferred the guarantee, Brunson expects more the 55/4 so he made the gamble.
I agree with you about the Clippers series, I prefer Mavs work a S&T (Brunson needs to agree of course), for Sexton, but Clippers are bad matchup for him, against the Suns for example he should do better.
Well he barely showed up against Utah, and that may end up being who we play. I like JB, but he does have tunnel vision and he is always going to be a defensive liability. We need to start making an effort of going after 2 way players, not just guys who are only good on one end
