It’s a ridiculous notion to assume a game is going to extras in that scenario.

So you assumed we would score. I see. And you were prepared to burn everything down based on that assumption. Got it. And you’re not ridiculous.

You play to score there, yes. You don’t play for extra innings. You don’t play for a scenario that may not happen.

Heartbreaking loss. Ohtani is truly exceptional as an athlete. 4 extra base hits in a World Series game is just insane! Why bother pitching to him again? Just walk him next time. Everyone here likely agrees that tonight's game is a must-win. If we fall behind 3-1, I really don't think we have much of a chance to win it all.

I thought this would be the weakest game for the jays with scherzer. The fact that they went 18 innings with them is very positive I think the Jays are still right in this series

It’s hard to tell what kind of impact this 18 inning games will have on the rest of the series.

Both teams emptied their bullpens (maybe LA slightly more so?) and there will be a physical and mental toll on the both rosters.

Maybe it’s too silver lining, but the Jays hung around for 18 innings under less than ideal conditions.

I would love to see it serve as a rallying cry with LA coming out kind of flat. Jays win game 4 and retake the momentum. At the same time, I can’t say I’d be surprised if the Jays just fold and don’t even make it back to Toronto.

We’ll see what happens in game 4.
