His 2019 year, his batted ball, hard contact percentage was highest in his career (well beside 2021 so far), it continued as well in 2020.

His 2019 numbers were fine. His xwOBA was .283, which is very good, and his xERA was 3.56. Average exit velocity was up a tick, but not much. His worse second-half numbers literally come down to two appearances on July 2nd and 7th: if you look at his numbers from July 8th on, he was downright dominant.

I really don't see anything there that should have constituted a red flag.

His exit velocity, was highest in his career in 2019. And it wasn't close to league avg even.

Anyways what is so far this season, in 9 innings, 3 HR given up?

This going to be like the pitching version of Fisher. Speaking of which, how's he doing this year?

His exit velo wasn't really a problem, which is why his xwOBA was still very good, because he had a crazy-good K:BB and kept the ball on the ground at one of the best rates in the league. His problems in 2020 and 2021 are completely divorced from that: namely, he hasn't been striking as many people out, he's been giving up more walks, and his LD% has absolutely skyrocketed. Nothing in 2019 would have suggested that happening.

Not gonna lie, I don’t really get the Joe Panik hate. I’m fine with him playing sometimes.

What the hell has happened to Danny Jansen's bat?
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Tabby with the nonsensical discourse about guarding the line after Panik hits a double anyway.

Panik really had a chance at 3rd actually. Might be the difference.

Damn, a Panik walkoff would have been nice.
