lower half of the plate and hope for them to swing and miss ... They have a similar approach to the Jays well except you've got Ohtani ... lol

louie varland pitching to him already giving me anxiety

Fluharty is #1 lefty, and Little should be #3.
Give a chance to Lauer as #2 lefty first before Little. Not that I have overwhelming faith in either, but Little has struggled and has been figured out.

Now that's your mistake right there.

Instead of "hack a Shaq", it's gonna be "Walk an Oht".

It’s a big gamble starting Bichette at this point. Regardless of how he looks in his recovery, we really have no idea where his swing and timing are at.

We have no choice.Bo should be good enough to DH.Hope they come to their senses ,and bat Clement behind him for both their sakes.

If we get the version of Bo Bichette that existed prior to his injury, then surely put him @DH. But he hasn't played a live game for 7 weeks and you're throwing him directly into the lion's den of the World Series where everyone is at 110% game speed. And is he even at 100% health in the first place?

Frankly, I much doubt it but even assuming he's 100% healthy, if he needs a few games to get the rust out, can we afford that luxury? Offense has not been an issue for us in these playoffs. We've gone this far with a healthy balance of offense/defense. If Bo inserted @DH, he pushes Springer to RF moving Barger to 3B and IKF, who has been playing well, is benched. Is this risk of a major shuffle to both our infield & outfield necessary?

My 2 cents is at least for the first 2 games, Bo pinch hits and we stay with the starting lineup that got us here. Then if our offense struggles (which is possible against their starters where Ohtani is their 4th pitcher!), then we promote Bo to starter to hopefully boost the offense.

Has this trend been posted?

Since LCS has gone to best of 7

There have been four other times when a 4-3 LCS winner has faced a 4-0 LCS winner. Each time the 4-3 LCS winner has won the World Series.
1988 (LAD), 2006 (STL), 2007 (Bos), 2012 (SF)

Positive vibes 8-)

A lot of that is probably due to how streaky baseball is. The Dodgers have lost only 1 game in the playoffs so far so it's on them to try to keep their current hot winning stretch going for longer.

With the Jays, we've hit a ".500 stretch" since Game 3 of the Yankees/Jays series but Vladdy and Clement have been playing out of their minds. We'll see if THEY cool off in the WS and if the other guys can pick it back up again.

Yeah, absolutely - regression to the mean.
Let's hope it works out that way

My buddy called me from Los Angeles congratulating me on the Jays going into the world series. He lives in Vancouver like I do but knows that I'm originally from Toronto and still have roots there. He says he's happy for the Jays but can't root for them because Ohtani is his favorite player.

What a piece of garbage.

I saw a number of people while walking around Toronto JUST LAST WEEK wearing Ohtani jerseys. And they weren't Asian lol. There will always be those who bandwagon on the most famous athletes. Same deal with all the Kobe "stans" in Toronto back in the day.

Although you could argue springer is motivated to prove he doesn't need to cheat to be good. Silence all the boos he gets on every road game. The knife cuts both ways so to speak lol

My sister luckily got tickets for game 6.

You pitch Ohtani outside, low preferably.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Dodgers visited Toronto last season.

Ohtani has already been here.

I don't think there's any difference in motivation really. Every team probably found ways to try to "steal signs" back in the day; they just didn't get caught and exposed like the Astros did. You will notice that the fan outrage following the scandal FAR outweighed player outrage. It's similar to the drone fiasco with our women's soccer team. Everyone does it, but you're not supposed to get caught doing it.

Only Kershaw and K. Hernandez maybe.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
