There’s a pretty good chance Jalen Hurts gets jumped by his WR’s.

Because he never throws them the ball. Well DeVonta Smith gets the ball so he probably wouldn’t participate. Brown is definitely getting a few licks in though.

Ah ok. So you think depending on how much Jalen hurts throws the ball to AJ brown, AJ will commit a violent crime against Jalen hurts?

Ok, so what do you think AJ brown did to Jalen hurts during this stretch of games?

LOL, I don't think people realize that Jalen Hurts is godfather to AJ Brown's daughter. They're best friends.

Yeah, things aren't going great at work. But they're still boys. I think people think that frustration with the playcalling means they actually hate each other or something, when it couldn't be further from the truth.

The whole game plan was to force feed Brown this past week. So much so, it threw off the entire rhythm of the offense. You'd have to watch the game to know this and not just cherry pick a narrative.

Brown had 11 targets and the rest of the team combined had 16 targets...

Are those the only two options with Brown? Don’t throw him the ball or force feed him the ball.

I’ve been mentioning this for months, but it’s an OC issue and also a nick sirianni issue because really, it’s his offense. There’s no creativity in this offense. They run the same routes, don’t disguise formations, don’t use motion, have routes that take way too long to develop etc. look at this.

That’s a lot of hitch routes.. What is the point of this…? Here’s another thing, Chad ochocinco and Shannon sharpe talk here specifically about how obvious what route AJ brown is about to run. If they know, just watching a regular game live, then a DC who literally watches like 50 hours of game film per week with all 22 access will probably know too. I know it’s in the eagles Reddit but I don’t know where else to get this small clip with just this part.

Yeah there’s a reason that Jalen hurts isn’t getting the ball to AJ brown and I’ll tell you why… ITS BECAUSE THE DEFENSE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT ROUTE HE IS GOING TO RUN EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

I’m not saying Jalen hurts is joe Montana or anything..lol but even Joe Montana would struggle to get the ball to Jerry rice at a high clip if the defense knew what route Jerry rice was going to run every time. And then on top of KNOWING what route he’s going to run, double team him at a high rate with both defenders knowing what he’s going to run… That’s what is currently happening to this whole offense, especially AJ brown lol

The Cowboys had the same problem for about 15 years (Jason Garrett and Mike McCarthy years). They refused to use any motion and almost never used play action. Basic vanilla offense.

Part of it is on Jalen though. He’s a winner, no denying that but he’s also just not a very good QB, or at least not fun to watch. He’s been in the league long enough to call an audible. He should have total command of the offense and if he feels the need to check out of a certain pass play he should be able to do it.

Jalen hurts does call audibles at the LOS. I think it was the rams game, in the first half he barely called any audibles and the offense didn’t do **** and then in the 2nd half he called an audible on like 40% of plays and the offense looked way better and the eagles came back and won that game. This was against a very good rams defense by the way.

I do think the team is telling him when he can and can’t audible, which is weird because the tape has shown that there’s been success doing that (see rams game) but even when he does audible thing is in the NFL, it isn’t like madden. You don’t have the whole playbook to switch to in any situation, you have a small amount of plays that you can switch to that the whole offense remembers could be a possibility. But if this is done too often, even these plays start to become predictable too..lol DCs have film on that too, they can see what the defense is showing and what the offense formation is and what Jalen hurts is seeing and why he likely changed the play in that situation etc.

There’s a reason that you’ve never seen me mention Jalen hurts name in a serious conversation about “mvp” or whatever. I like him but yeah I understand he has limitations. And I’m not saying Jalen hurts is without fault, but I also think he’s probably not in the top 3 as far as why the offense isn’t functioning well this year. He’s also not the main reason that the ball isn’t getting to AJ brown either. Like I showed you earlier, Jalen hurts has had tons of success getting AJ brown the ball before so it’s not like he’s incapable..lmao it’s just defenses literally know what routes the eagles offense is going to run, especially their main focus AKA AJ brown.

That’s a coaching issue, not a QB issue.

Again, the QB shouldn’t get the main blame for this..lol this is ridiculous how bad it is.

And yes there’s a reason this is put in this thread, because I definitely think it plays a factor on how good the eagles are. This is obviously a MAJOR ISSUE. They are shooting themselves in the foot, repeatedly. They have been able to still find ways to win despite the kindergarten level offensive strategy, but winning isn’t going to continue unless the COACHING STAFF makes a lot of changes.
