We gave away our best and more reliablee 3 point shooter. Kennard is thrash, Bruce Brown can't score, Khyri Thomas costed us 4x what we got from Bullock basically and he is not even NBA material and Galloway is the worse of the 4.
Our Front office signed Calderon and said they were very comfortable trading either RJ or Ish and getting Calderon to play decent minutes. They let Tolliver go and signed GRIII and to complete the mess, they gave Bullock for absolutely nothing. They have absolutely no clue WTF they're doing.
We'll either throw our 1st away for some garbage or we'll draft another SJ. The only good thing Stefanski did since he hired himself to be our GM was to get rid of Stanley Johnson.
Can we please bring either Dumars or SVG back? I miss both of them.
This is all Stan Van’s fault man. SJ and Kennard are his lotto picks...
Why can’t we re-sign Reggie B? Probably the dumpster pile of trash contracts like Galloway, Leuer, Jackson, etc.
Stefanski and crew have many years of horrible decisions to undo and it ain’t gonna be easy or pretty.
We could resign Bullock, Stefanski decided not to. It's different.
SVG constantly won all his trades, he got us Tobias and Blake. Stefanski got 0 for Bullock, a GLeague scrub and a late 2nd which 99.99% of the time doesn't even play a single game in the league, that's 0.
He managed to get a downgrade from Stanley Johnson, and that's an accomplishment (I'm not complaining, I wanted SJ gone really bad). He traded 2 2nds for a guy who I would be fine spending a 2nd to see if he turn into something but 2 2nds? Hell no.
Jose and GRIII made this team much worse than what we had last season. Stefanski is a joke. Anyways what could we expect, he was hired to hire a GM and he hired himself.
The Clippers just turned Blake Griffin into three 1st round picks, two 2nd rounders, and ton of cap space. We turned him into a 9th seed and are now locked in for the foreseeable future. We did not “win” that trade.
And while I think Stan did OK on trades otherwise, it doesn’t come close to making up for his colossal drafting and free agency mistakes.
We could have re-signed Bullock and further pushed us into the inflexibility that Van Gundy put us in while maintaining our elite 9th seed status. Another couple years late in the lottery with a team touching the tax threshold... cool.
Jose and GRIII have very little to do with this team getting worse (we’re the same, anyways...). They cost very little money and are not long term contracts. Something SVG and company had no concept of. The Leuers and Galloway’s of the team are the reason we could only look at minimum guys like Jose and GRIII anyways. We were like 400k under the tax limit or something just with signing them, and we couldn’t even look at bringing back a guy like Anthony Tolliver.
I’m not happy with Casey’s coaching, but Stefanski and crew haven’t really done anything significant to judge at this point. We just had 2nd round picks and no money left after Stan left, so there’s really not much to do.
