Nope because his length doesn't change just because he's 6'6. Now if they lied about his wingspan and standing reach, that's where it changes his ability to disrupt passing lanes or finish over guys.A_dub06 wrote:I agree with the crowd that thinks the height in shoes is stupid and actually does matter when it comes to the draft. When a player has been evaluated especially in college, and a player like Cade is listed at 6’8 things seem to be overlooked such as his average athleticism and bounce because the thought is that his height/length can make up for that. The NBA is significantly more athletic and longer than college, so if said player is shorter than actually listed the athletic limitations become magnified thus directly lowering his potential as a player in the league.
I’m not at all saying Cade going to bust because he may be 2 inches shorter than advertised, but some of the shine about Cunningham was that he could be a capable defender 1-4 and score in every position. Surely people can acknowledge the difficulty in meeting those expectations would increase given his lack of athleticism with regard to losing 2 inches in height?

What does height (or the manipulation thereof) have to do with wingspan? It's a finger tip to finger tip measurement.A_dub06 wrote:DetroitSho wrote:Nope because his length doesn't change just because he's 6'6. I k so the size of the soles in your shoes can increase or decrease your height, but if they are going to manipulate that can we be 100% sure his wingspan is what it’s listed? Has it been independently verified?

Because if a team is going to be so brazen and manipulate height they may as well do that with wingspan. Both physical attributes are considered significant positives so I would think they would try and manipulate everything they can. I wasn’t saying that’s the case with Cade, but I think it’s a legitimate question
