Their opinion was that Weaver should be fired immediately with his successor to take the view that the team is at year 1 now of the rebuild and essentially trade guys like Stewart, Bojan for assets, and take the long view through the draft.
It’s not nice to hear, and even harder to swallow, but I actually agree with it. We haven’t stockpiled assets like other teams and our team simply doesn’t have the right personnel.
Stew is still super young and looks at least like a nice backup big... that said, the real decision comes with Cade this summer. He's a guy we max or he's a guy we should be at least gauging his trade market on. I don't think its a great move to keep him and not pay him because that's just going to make him more unhappy being here.

We haven’t even got our young starting 5 yet, and that’s all Stew is going to be, an undersized limited centre that will bring energy off the bench. I’m not saying throw him away, and yeah nobody is going to trade the house for him but if we get assets back that can become part of our core I think we should move him.
I think Cade is worth having but he hasn’t shown that he deserves the max. He’s probably going to demand it, but yeah until he proves he can keep his turnovers down and actually becomes a good shooter like he’s supposed to be, I don’t think we should offer it.
Either way, Weaver has proven he can’t build a team and that’s not the same type of guy you want trying to rebuild again. Time to cut him loose.
