He's a good player but very overrated. He's not an elite player and is a #2 on a true title contending team. He needs to become a 2 guard because he isn't a point guard or a player that should have the ball in his hands in the big moments.
Which teams in the league are "true title contending teams" in your opinion? (currently, without Cade)
You swap Cade for Brunson and We easy advance pass NY
You're right, but that should be the case. Brunson played lights out. He's a hell of a player. He's been in that moment before. He is five years older than Cade and came into the series with 49 games of playoff experience to Cade's zero.
The point that I'm trying to make is that the argument of whether Cade is a 1 or a 2 is stupid. The real issue is that Cade is all we have. We don't have two options. Knicks have KAT and Brunson (Hell Bridges and OG would probably be our 2nd and 3rd best starters). Thunder have Shai, Holmgren, and Williams. Cavs have Mobley, Mitchell, and Garland. Celtics have Tatum and Brown. You're saying we win if we swap Cade for Brunson, which makes it sound like a Cade problem. But we also win if we swap Duren for KAT, or THJ for Bridges for that matter.
