Not that I want Sabonis or want to trade Duren for him, but y'all be going overboard with this "lob threat" business like it's some type of offensive skill. Sabonis can't jump over a phone book, but he's a miles better offensive player than Duren. Adding Duren in place of Sabonis wouldn't hamper Cade or the offense one bit.zeebneeb wrote:Duren isn't going anywhere, and certainly not for Sabonis. Cade would lose his mind in that scenario, losing not only a lob threat, but the best lob duo in the entire league. It would be a huge setback for the offense, and handcuff Cade. (Not to mention, probably piss him off)

Is a hilariously bad lob group, which Cade counts on to free him up, and as a release valve on offense. No universe this makes sense, or happens.
Now, if you can add Sabonis next to Duren, even if the defense up front is probably gonna be bad, maybe that can work.
Best course of action is to keep Duren, and add a legitimate starting PF, like Aldama, Naz, e.t.c.
It all depends on how aggressive Langdon is gonna be, and from the sounds of it, he prefers sitting on his hands, with his thumb up his ass.
He can free up the cap space, and offer Naz a big ass contract, solidifying the starting group.

All young, and would be a formidable group. I say strike while the iron is hot. You've got two prototype PF up for grabs, and who knows when that will be available again. Go get it done. Everyone knows their is a limit on the team with Harris as your starting PF.
And again, I don’t want Sabonis. But being a lob threat becomes more important when the guy can't consistently score outside out 8 feet.
