I deleted the other contest thread. We only need one thread to show how smart (or not

) we are.

Best case trade back with Washington take Hendricks at 8 and get assets in return.
Really hope we get a shot at Oliver-Maxence Prosper. Kobe Brown, Ben Sheppard late picks. I like Andre Johnson late too.
Not a fan of the twins, I’ll probably end up wrong on that one. I just hate their shots.
No guys I really love. Not a fan of this draft.

Man Denver knows what’s up. I liked Braun late and they got him at 21, and they got these late picks this year. Finding those cheap good prospects that can contribute are gonna be so valuable with the new CBA. Weavers gotta show he can do that. Livers was nice but the knock on him has been his injuries and so far that’s how it’s turning out. Hoping he finds them this year.

Is this our personal big board or how we see the draft playing out?
If it's the latter....
1) San Antonio - Wembanyama
2) Charlotte - Miller (I think this is a mistake for them)
3) Portland - Henderson
4) Houston - Amen Thompson
5) Detroit - Ausar Thompson (I'm tempted to say Whitmore thinking that the Pistons are putting up a smokescreen with the bad workout stuff etc. but will stick with Ausar)
6) Orlando - D**k (just to throw a curveball in there and to be smartest guy in the room)
7) Indiana - Walker (He seems destined to be a Pacer, ideal fit)
8) Washington - Black
9) Utah - Whitmore
10) Dallas - Hendricks
Dream Scenario (realistically): 5 for 9+16 then Hendricks drops to 9
Guy I Love: Nobody really, there's nobody in this draft that I feel is a must have. Walker or Hendricks would be my preference if I had to choose.
Guys I don't love: Whitmore

2. Henderson
3. Miller
4. Amen
5. Walker

This particular top 10 board seems easy this year given the tiers in this draft, but there will be flops and big surprises like usual.
Top 10:
1. Victor Wembanyama
2. Scoot Henderson
3. Amen Thompson
4. Brandon Miller
5. Ausar Thompson
6. Taylor Hendricks
7. Anthony Black
8. Jarace Walker
9. Cam Whitmore
10. Kobe Bufkin
Dream Scenario: Trade back with Utah for 9 & 16 while dumping Bagley in the process.
Guys You Love: Ausar Thompson
Guys You Don't Love: Cam Whitmore

Top 10:
1. Wemby - unicorn version of the OG unicorn. Superstar if healthy
2. Ausar Thompson - Shawn Marion
3. Amen Thompson - Ben Simmons without the personal issues
4. Cam Whitmore - Jaylen Brown
5. Bilal Coulibaly - Smaller Siakam
6. Scoot - Eric Bledsoe/Donnovan Mitchell hybrid
7. Brandon Miller - less athletic Rashard Lewis
8.Taylor Hendricks - slightly more switchable but smaller Myles Turner
9. Anthony Black - Smaller Giddey
10. Kobe Bufkin - Jordan Poole
Pipe Dream: Wemby gets arrested for insider trading Ford stock causing character concerns and he eventually drops to Detroit
Actual dream: Draft a Thompson Twin (preferably Ausar) and trade back in and get Bilal.
Guys You Love: The top 5 on my big board
Guys You Don't Love: Jarace and Dick.

The tinfoil hat wearing part of me says we’re putting it out there that we love Ausar so the Magic think they have to trade with us to get him.
Unlikely though.

1.Wemby
2.Scoot
3.Miller I see Scoot as a tad better prospect but on most teams I would take Miller due to positional scarcity
4.Hendricks
5.Dick
6.Black
7.Walker
8.Amen
9.Ausar
Thompsons are pure lotto tickets that likely wont hit but if they do they could end up being the 2nd and 3rd best prospects in the draft. This ranking could make me look foolish but I could see a world where their not even in the NBA in a few seasons so this is about the median.
10.Wallace

GG Jackson is someone I'd have interest in at #31 but he has a really rough Freshman year he isn't anywhere near ready to play winning basketball at the NBA level he's going to be a bit of a project.

Imo ausar and Amen are just as big of projects as GG. GG is a legit 6"8 with player with ball skills and is really young underrated prospect imo.

GG took quite the nose dive after this season. Just Abysmal on both ends. Didn’t help he talked ish on Instagram about his coaches not getting him the ball while he’s taking 14 shots a game at 38fg%. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not drafted at all.
