I would play Moody. I would play Post. I would play Post and Moody together. IDK why Kerr should try to jump through hoops to start Kuminga though.
He's got the highest upside of the not top 3 paid players for this season for the Warriors if he plays the right way. I keep hoping his knee issues were part of the reason for his play falling off as we went deeper into the season. Just Kuminga's activity on rebounding would have helped greatly last night against Portland (not sure why Santos wasn't used last night to try to combat the 21 offensive rebounds Portland got).
I'm expecting Sacramento to start rebuilding this season, I wonder what trade assets (possibly none) with Kuminga(22.5 mil) it would take to acquire Monk (18.8 mil) and K.Ellis (2.3 mil) but that doesn't fix the front court issues, but that could help the defense and 3pt shot making, I'm very interested what Monk could do in the GS offense. For Sacramento it would get them off Monk's longer term money, not deal with possibly losing Ellis for nothing and jumpstart the rebuild with Kuminga as your tank commander.
Don't get me wrong, in the right trades I'm ok moving anyone not named Curry, Butler or Draymond (since the last 2 probably won't bring back much at their age, Curry is still a top player).
If possible, I'd do Podz for K.Ellis as long as there is an extension agreed upon when the trade happens that I believe GS could have him sign during the seasons.
For GS, you have to think later in this season. Right now, who do you think you rely on playing their roles come playoff time?
For me... it's Curry, Melton, Butler, Draymond and Horford.
Which leaves 3-5 more rotation spots... Moody, Kuminga, Podz, Post, Richard, Hield and GP2. Wouldn't mind Santos being in this group but Kerr doesn't seem to care about rebounders in the rotation.
