That seems to be a popular (and likely accurate) answer today. Watch us get stiffed by some scrub like Tristan Thompson - because he'd rather play for a contender. :banghead:

I am for it as long as we trade Moody.

If there were a veteran FA that had Moody's impact and peripherals, we'd be all over them

FWIW, Hayward's 3rd season he was 22, Moody's 3rd season he was 21. Tracking has Moody decently higher than DPM (+0.9 to +0.3).. every sign is there for a guy to be, at minimum, a high-value role player. Every offseason since his rookie year, I wonder if this will be the year Kerr actually invests in him, because at this point, he looks to be a 10 year vet type of player with starter upside. Just hope its here, but its not looking good

Wiseman to Indy, two year deal. Hope for their sake the second year is unguaranteed or a team option.

Robert Covington and Javonte Green are the two guys that to me could have an Otto Porter like situation where they are a huge positive if Celebrini can keep them healthy.

Jay Huff just got a four year deal from Memphis. I always wondered why we didn't try to sign him. Seemed like a no-brainer to me.

Always baffled me why he was bouncing around the g. 7’ who blocks shots and shoots 3s

Can we sign Elfrid Payton?

Dude just handed out 750 assists in 1 game then git waived. We need a penetrator/passer, I say we give him a run.

Hard cap. They literally cannot sign anyone. Gui is guaranteed so waiving someone is not an option, even stretch-waiving, if thats even an option, would not clear enough space

But more to the point, a guy like Payton gets waived because he's no real threat to score. If he's not a threat to score, and is a bad defender, then we're looking at another Chiozza or Wanamaker type with a slightly more recognizable name. If they want to upgrade at PG, make a real effort. We're not some bargin bin find away from a competent offense

He's a smart guy that can pentrate and find guys for open looks all the time. He threw 21 assists out recently, he's a smarter passer and playmaker than anyone we have, probably including Steph. I'm not talking about 30 minutes a night, just a plug and play 2nd unit PG that can unlock shots for guys.

Meh, moot point, we can't sign him anyway.

I'd rather try to coax rubio out of retirement.
