I don’t know how Whitmore does on defense but he’s a big, athletic wing. Podz plays bigger than his height but Whitmore might have brought more size and athleticism to the front court.

We got the best guard in the draft so far which was a bigger need than another forward, even one as talented as Whitmore. I don't think we can second guess the pick.

Actually DJM dipped his shoulder into Podz, making him stumble backwards, giving DJM a clean 10 footer. That is where some size and athleticism would prevent such a move.

Podz BBIQ is great but size and athleticism don't hurt either.
