Arenas or Baron?
Who would you rather have beside Monta?
If neither, then list.

We wont get Gil though. He will cost too much and we shouldnt offer him that kind of money either... it should only go to a PF/C.
Agreed on Gil. I'd take him if the money was right.

Coincidence Washington played better team ball without Gil?
Coincidence a player like Larry Hughes has a borderline All-star season playing next to Arenas before fading into obscurity again playing alongside Lebron James?
Coincidence Butler and Jamison have the first All-star seasons of their careers playing alongside Arenas?
I'm not even voting against Baron, I'm just saying it sounds like some of you guys watch as much Gilbert as I do Baron- not a whole lot.

Arenas and Baron together would be insane and downright nasty. I'd love to get both. I'd package Monta and Al in a S&T with a heartbeat. Monta is great and all but defensive liabilty is he. Monta will be a monster in the next couple of years too.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.

I can't believe you're using Larry Hughes as a measuring stick who was entering a contract year that season.
Also Butler and Jamision had all star caliber season's this year without Arenas.

I tilted the scales (probably briefly) to Baron. Baron and Arenas have a lot in common. Baron is a better passer/distributer (at least when he puts his mind to it). Arenas is a better scorer. They both have the same shortcomings: they can focus on their own offense to the detriment of the team as a whole, and they are both injury risks. So I'd stick with Baron for two reasons:
- Making a lateral move like that would not necessarily help, and would change/disrupt things. If Baron starts bitching that he doesn't want to be here, that would obviously change matters, as I'm largely suggesting that you don't disrupt chemistry for a lateral move.
- Baron has one more year left on a big deal. Arenas will be looking for a bunch more years on a big deal. I'd rather have Baron stay around one more year while Monta gets one more year of growth as a passer, then have the flexibility to see where Monta has gotten to, see what we need, and have the cap flexibility to actually try to get what we need.

I voted under the assumption that the question was "who would you rather pay for six years to play next to Monta" since the most likely scenario has neither Baron or Arenas as a Warrior after this season.
The "other" category is a given reality, I believe, so I didn't spend much time thinking about it.
I'll take the guy who can average 30/6/5 and is tailor-made for the Nelson offense.

Ah. That's different than how I interpreting things. If I was picking for the next 6 years, I'd probably pick Other. But that's boring
