I completely agree. Cutler didn't help... but this game was out of hand before our offense even got its fourth snap. By the time we got our third set of downs it was already 21-0 and we were in highly predictable mode. This defense was EMBARRASSINGLY bad. They almost had 300 rush yards... we couldn't stop ANYONE. Also, on offense, don't whitewash how bad the OL was and Forte. I'm a huge Forte fan, but he couldn't pick up a blitz to save his life and he was ineffective running the ball almost the entire game.
Unlike what we're used to in a big Bears blowout loss, the turning point was not a pick six (though there was one late in the game) but it was Hester's big fumble. That was when the wheels absolutely came off.
At this point, I'm completely ambivalent about Cutler. If we cut him loose so we could use the money on defense, I'm game. If we re-sign him it has to be discounted for his durability issues and lapses in decision making. I don't want the Bears to look at Romo, Stafford and Eli Manning as excuses to overpay Jay.
