We are but I trust TT 1000x fold more than I trust any of you doing the job is all I am saying. If TT were Hammond or the Packers were owned by Kohl, I could see getting worried. But that's not the case. Yeah I may be a TT fan boy but at least he deserves some praise. Who knows, maybe I am so pissed at the Bucks ineptitude that I feel I just have to stick up for the Packers FO. Not saying its right since no leader s perfect and they all should be questioned and have their checks and balances but at least they seem to do it right lately.

The good part is none of us are doing TT's job.

I would like to point out to you, that despite TT having used 38 late round picks, you included Taucher and Driver as the examples of good late round picks. Neither of whom were drafted by TT (Wolf, who was legitimately a great late drafter).

I wanted Keenan Allen. Oh well. I'm actually not upset at all with what happened tonight. Did I have to sit through a painful draft broadcast? Yes, but not a big deal.

Wolf also drafted Adam Timmerman and Keith McKenzie in the 7th round. Chmura, Doug Evans, and Marco Rivera in the 6th. Dorsey Levens and Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila in the 5th.

That said, Wolf wasn't as consistent with his early picks as Ted has been.

Haha, I didn't realize they were drafted that long ago although thinking about it now, the timeline makes sense. Thanks for pointing that out. Either way, my main point remains, I am just thankful the Packers have had two GM's in a row who can do a great job and get lucky on picking up some great all time qb's. Here is my prediction though, GB has a better record than SF next year. Tape is going to get out on the read option and teams will be better prepared. The tape has been out on Rodgers for years and he still succeeds. We will see how Colin does next year. I am sure he will still be good but it won't be a surprise anymore. If it is for the Pack, next up on the firing block will be our very own DC.

Yup.

Wolf drafted Pro-Bowl players in 6 of 9 years in the 5th round or later. Add to them, Bill Schroeder, Taucher, and Doug Evans. He was amazing late in drafts. Not so much earlier though.

aghhhhhhh. Well take out those 4 years anyway, haha. How the hell could a GM fall asleep at the combine anyway. Wtf. It was 4 years right? Prediction number 2 tonight. Ted drafts a probowler or two tomorrow. Did I mention I am a fan boy btw, lol. And my other two predictions were a qb and a kicker tomorrow so it's on record. I'll eat crow for those in addition to anything I said that was wrong tonight. Either way, WB is a drama queen. That is a fact.

I'd put the chances of that at less than zero.

Wolf was mainly known for building those teams which went to back to back Super Bowls, but when you think about that time in the NFL, the NFC was as good as any conference in league history IMO. You had those dominant Dallas teams and San Fran was still really good, along with the Packers who had get through those two teams. They were good enough to make another Super Bowl in a different era and mix in the two devastating playoff losses to San Fran and Philly. The last second Owens catch and 4th and 26 vs the Eagles easily could have cost two more Super Bowl berths.

Speaking of that Philly loss, one of the more understated things of Wolf's tenure i think was that great O-Line he put together that Sherman's staff coached up well. That group of Clifton, Wahle, Flanagan, Rivera, and Tauscher was a badasss run blocking machine, especially when they brought in Barry for the U-71 package.

I love watching Aaron Rodgers play and throw bullets all over the place, but for me, there is something extra-cool about being a fan of a physical offense that can just run the ball down the throats of a defense, even when defenses are playing for the run as that line could along with Ahman Green.

Man, thinking back at that Philly game brings back sickening memories. What a brutal loss. :curse:

The Jets drafted Geno Smith and the Chargers took Teo. I'll post more updates as ESPN reports them.
