This is the exact type of thinking that has NBA players dictating teams trade them to specific destinations regardless of contract situation.WeekapaugGroove wrote:But what good do you ultimately accomplish with this? I fail to see how by winning this battle with Rodgers how you won't lose the long-term war. If they force his retirement right or wrong they will be painted as the villian by the media and a lot of fans, you'll have an agency that is upset with you and you probably permanently burn a bridge with one of your franchises legends. Plus you just passed on getting major draft capital to end up in the same spot. All that just to prove a point??Turk Nowitzki wrote:jakecronus8 wrote:Very torn with this situation. Part of me says, tough sh*t. See you at training camp or enjoy your budding game show host career, but the other part of me says go ahead and deal him. Send him to a poverty franchise. Grass isn’t always greener and maybe he’d grow a new appreciation for an organization thats run about as well as any in sports. If his motivation is truly to win I don’t think he’s gonna get moved to any better situation than Green Bay. That’s pretty obvious, so to me this whole situation is just primadonna garbage. No one is bigger than the franchise. If they move on I’m ready for it.

Thankfully NFL teams still have some balls.
He's 1 year into a 4 year extension that they gave him when he had multiple years left on his deal and they even offered to extend him again. If he's going to pull this crap telling him to either play or retire is the correct answer
