Said he would be shocked if Eli played this week and that he really hasn't made any game-type throws in practice this week. Get ready for the Pilsbury Throw-Boy.

Put this guy on his back all game. He got sacked 12 times in preseason, and that was against 2nd/3rd strings (granted most likely with the 2nd/3rd OL as well).

I know the pack doesn't blitz a lot, but I hope they make an exception this week.

Agreed. Just like you blitz rookie QB's, you should blitz a backup QB. Especially if they're not very good. Force them to make quick throws and create opportunities for interceptions.

7 of those sacks came in one game. Pretty remarkable.

We put quite a bit of pressure on the Eagles and their very good line without having to blitz alot.The Giants line isn't as good and i wouldn't blitz that much unless the front four can't create some havoc.

1.Blitzing does open up the chance for allowing a big play or two.Given the Packers aren't an explosive offense,make the Giants with a rookie QB and unproven RB try to put together 7-8-9-10-11 play drives without stalling out or turning it over vs maybe getting caught in a blitz or two that leads to a cheap long TD or more.

2.More guys back in coverage makes a rookie QB have to be very precise and has more defenders back to pick off a pass.

I'm not saying to never blitz,but i wouldn't get silly by doing it to often or by sending multiple blitzers on given plays which could lead to getting burned.Try to confuse him with a few zone blitzes and/or sending an extra guy here and there,but our front four should be good enough to not force us to take to many risky chances.Get burned in a blitz and give up say a 65 yard bomb and maybe one bad turnover by us,suddenly their crowd is in a frenzy and our offense is out of their comfort zone.

Preventing the big play was as big a reason as any as to why GB won the game vs the Eagles.
