Looks like we are serious about bringing in some competition for the strong side.
I remember wanting him the year Barnett was drafted. Unfortunately, Bailey hasn't been healthy until the last two years.
Seems like a player that could be had on the cheap.

Boss Bailey brings back a great memory. I used to frequent the espn message boards and when we picked Barnett with the 29th pick, the entire Lion board erupted because that left Boss Bailey for them to take with the 34th pick. They were so convinced that Boss Bailey was the no-brainer better LB talent that they said the Packers must've screwed up and thought Bailey had already been taken, so they picked Barnett. It was hilarious.
Years later, Millen and Lion fans are proved wrong yet again.

I remember that draft and thinking it was down to Henderson and Bailey. I never even considered Barnett. Once the pick was made I did some checking up on him with a guy I knew that played with Barnett as a freshman at Oregon State. Back then, both were safeties in the same defensive backfield and he wouldn't stop raving about what a lunatic and freak Barnett was. So yea, then I was on-board.
Bailey could be a nice addition. At the very least he'd provide competition and depth at position in which we have little.
