Deebo and Samuel are the same person  , surely mean Pettis as the other?

Hope that's the case. I think a mild injury would probably have him miss a couple games at least but better that than a season ending.

It won't last. Running QBs have a short window, and then they fizzle out (if they're even good in the first place). Especially small ones.

I don't see Murray as a great pocket passer for the long term like Brees or Wilson.

I’m praying that it’s not a season ending injury. I came back last night after the game hoping to read an update from Pozz regarding Kwon.

Didn't they already announce today that it is a torn pec and he will miss the rest of the season?

So who is next man up? Is it A-Shaair or Nzeocha? Anyone have a sense as to how they can do? Or do we get more radical and just go with 2 LB's (Warner and Greenlaw) and put in an extra safety? A DB probably has more speed to be a spy on Russell Wilson than a LB would have; Wilson could make a linebacker look like a statue.

Look at the time stamp on when that was posted.

After the game, Shanahan admitted that he would have an MRI and they were "looking at his pec". Most of the people knew then it would not be good.

Well their run defense seemed to deteriorate in the second half. Also gave up some big screen passes.

Kwon's thing changes it considerably but as BAD as it was last night, keep in mind that nearly 40% of their rushing yards last night came on two plays.

The first on the first play of the game, which is a run that should be easier to identify and correct (man concepts). The second one was on a Kyler run where Ronald Blair lost contain and Tartt drifted too far inside and was slow to diagnose.

Just a really, really poor job of taking angles to the ball last night. As bad as that's been collectively in a while. That stuff you can correct easier than some other things going on in coverage.

The new problem they're going to have with Greenlaw is he didn't make a ton of plays going forward, on penetration, going forward. A lot of sideline stuff. Kwon will see it and go (for better and for the worse with what comes with that). Greenlaw has to be sharp, he has to see it early, and he has to GO. Greenlaw is always going to struggle with size (like a lot of guys on this defense) and with really laying into guys and then disengaging. Missed tackles/slips are a concern. How bad it will be will be how much can they get him to make plays in front of him to limit the damage.

Dre will flow to the ball, he'll make plays out on the range, and he'll chase you down (with the occasional missed tackle), but can they and can he get himself to see it EARLY and GO get it.

I believe a factor, though certainly not the only factor, is that Arizona went to the no-huddle offense in the second half. The Niners have a "strength in numbers" approach in which they typically sub a lot of players in and out which helps to keep players, particularly the big linemen, fresh throughout the game. With the hurry-up, there were less opportunities to substitute and thus a lot of the Niner defenders were gassed in the second half. This shows up in a less-effective pass rush (which also exposes the secondary), slower reaction to misdirection runs and motion plays, and slower pursuit to screen passes. My guess is other teams will watch this tape and use it as a blueprint to run more no-huddle plays against the Niners the rest of this season. This will be especially challenging when you are too tired to chase a Russell Wilson or Lamar Jackson or when facing an experienced QB running the no-huddle like Rogers or Brees.
