Darnold went 14-3 and lost to a team that went 15-2. I’d take that any day over what we did this year.

If Purdy did that even if the team was 14-2 at the time you would be in here saying we shouldn't pay him. Record doesn't matter to you anyway, it is all about physical tools and if you win the Super Bowl. 2023 Purdy and 2024 Darnold had very similar stats, Purdy in his 2nd year coming off a major injury, Darnold in his 7th season. Of course you will say we had the "avengers" on our side but Darnold has the best WR in the game, another WR who is pretty damn good, a good TE, better OLine, and a good RB
