After seeing Dobbs play just as good as Purdy has all year it seems even more silly to give Brock a big contract.

I guess you missed the part where Dobbs had 3 turnovers.

Turnovers are irrelevant if they don't fit your agenda. Actually everything is pretty irrelevant if they don't fit a particular poster's agenda.

I wonder if we will hear about Darnold today?

Darnold went 14-3 and lost to a team that went 15-2. I’d take that any day over what we did this year.

Darnold faced pass presssure for the first time last night and folded. Darnold under the 49ers would not be 15-2. Not even close

Well, then we need to find a QB who doesn’t require a pristine pocket to win games because Purdy folded like a cheap whore all year long.

Read on Twitter

This is what a"down" season for Purdy looks like.

That "down" season had contributing factors of: a bottom 5 offensive line, Aiyuk being MIA all season, Deebo providing next to nothing, and a revolving door at RB.

After the 49ers played Detroit Big J called the Lions defense "turrible" in order to downplay the success SF's offense had against them. Yet when his current golden boy (whom he previously called "trash") struggles mightily against that same Detroit defense, it gets disregarded.

That guy can't even go like 3 days until he insists on moving the goal posts.

Most important game of the year against a depleted defense and he only completed 44% of his passes, 166 yards, 55.5 QB Rating, missed multiple players open for TDs.
If Purdy did that even if the team was 14-2 at the time you would be in here saying we shouldn't pay him. Record doesn't matter to you anyway, it is all about physical tools and if you win the Super Bowl. 2023 Purdy and 2024 Darnold had very similar stats, Purdy in his 2nd year coming off a major injury, Darnold in his 7th season. Of course you will say we had the "avengers" on our side but Darnold has the best WR in the game, another WR who is pretty damn good, a good TE, better OLine, and a good RB

Purdy had an even worse game in that 23 season. Remember the big game against the Ravens when he **** the bed?

That's right - and its an apples-to-apples comparison because the Ravens only had the 6th best pass defense last season. Turrible, just turrible!

Only a particular poster knows where these constantly moving goal posts will end up next....

Truth

More apples to Oranges: That Ravens game was an out of conference game for SF that didn't carry nearly the same stakes as last night's Minnesota/Detroit game. Last night's game was not only a division deciding game, but also decided the #1 seed in the NFC, and the 1st round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs, that came with it.

In other words it was a HUGE game.

Return to San Francisco 49ers
