The argument of Kap doing more with less is a shaky one IMO. First, did he do more? He had a great super bowl run and almost won the big one. So did Purdy. He had one more good playoff run, but his offense wasn't nearly as dynamic. And teams figured him out after that. Instead of improving, he fell off after a smoking start. Maybe that happens to Purdy, but it certainly hasn't to date.
As far as having less, I broached this in another post. Yes, his weapons clearly weren't as good as Purdy's. But his OL was markedly better. All five of his OL would have been second-best on our team last year. Easily. And the defense he played opposite was better.
When discussing supporting casts, no one seems to want to take into account the OL. It's kind of important to good QB play. Jackson's OL struggled this week against KC, and he was frankly bad as a passer. He kept the team in it with his legs, and that's one of the obvious benefits to a Lamar Jackson, but he simply couldn't play out of the pocket. Purdy played out of a messy pocket all last year and excelled.
Purdy's had the best OT that the game has ever seen. Trent alone elevates the entire line a tier by himself.

Jets are a disaster and Rodgers is an antivaxer conspiracy theorist. They don't stand a chance against us.
