He's a great passer, will hit clutch shots and he'll have the right attitude since he'll be on a playoff team with a chance to compete for the championship. We have Eric Bledsoe, Randy Foye, Ryan Gomes & Brian Cook as trade pieces along with a 1st round draft pick if it needs to be a sweetener to get it done.
I don't like Jackson at all and have stated the reasons(contract, black hole on offense etc.), but if we were to trade for him, we shouldn't ever give up anything of value.
He's not even playing anymore for Milwaukee(Skiles took him out of their rotation) and has negative trade value.
So if we were to trade for him, I'd only do so if they give up something as well and we won't trade any young talent or picks.
So the only thing I could see us doing would be something like this.
It's two trades:
First trade:
Jackson, Milwaukee 2nd round pick
for
Cook, Foye, Gomes
Second trade:
Carlos Delfino
for
TPE, 2nd round pick
We pretty much would gain Delfino and Jackson for Cook, Gomes and Foye, while also having a 2nd round pick somewhere between #37 - #45.
Though, we could then kiss good-bye to any hope of cap space for this summer and wouldn't be able to offer anything more then the mini midlevel and veterans exceptions to fill out our roster.
And that's the biggest reason why I wouldn't want to trade for a guy like Jackson.
