They've got CJ Miles and their rookie Alec Burks at that position and are slowly falling out of the playoff race afther their solid start to the season.

He's earning a little over $3.4 mil this season and clost to $3.5 mil next year, while still playing some solid defense and shooting over 48% from the field and over 41% from three point range.

I'd offer them our TPE + a couple of 2nd rounders(our own this year and one of those Hornets 2nd rounders) at the trading deadline and see if they bite.

Thoughts?

Dang thats a good trade for us too! Would love Raja on the team.

Captain Jack would be great. Well rounded player capable of dropping 20 in a quarter when he gets hot. Its like jr smith with a little less offensive punch but more size and waaayyy better D

Denver might take Foye for Birdman. I'd be fine with that but we'd be really weak at guard. I'd love for Azibuke to still be able to play but I really doubt he is or he'd already be signed. Stephen Jackson can't really be traded for unless we give Mo which I wouldn't do. I'd love to have Jackson tho, he's having a terrible year but should be a good fit here. The Bucks may consider buying him out. There really isn't much out there that we can afford unfortunatly.

As for Stephen Jackson:

I want that guy nowhere near our team.
This 33 year old came into training camp crying about a contract extension and the Bucks not giving it to him, while he was still under contract for two more years and over $20 mil.
He also can't shoot 40% from the field, stops ballmovement on offense and his defense isn't nearly as good as it was a couple years ago.

Trading for him would mean us having hardly any money left in free agency, to fill the holes on our bench.

As for Chris Anderson:
He's a nice hustle guy off the bench, but where the heck should his minutes come from?
We've already got 4 guys for those 96 minutes at the power forward and center spots in Blake, DJ, Martin and Evans and I don't see who of those guys should get even less minutes thanks to him.

He's also under contract till 2014 and making $4,234,000 $4,526,000 $4,818,000 during those seasons.

Right now we should focus on a shooting guard/small forward that can possibly start over Foye(even though, he had a nice game yesterday), while providing some size, defense and a sold jump shot.

^ I think it would be best to add a SG who can start with a TPE. A guy with an expiring contract would be best. Probably not surprisingly there aren't a lot of guys like that available.

The Clippers may end up signing Alan Anderson to help fill the backup SG position at this point. I don't see any point in trading for Raja Bell even for long shot 2nd round picks, he has shot better recently after a real slow start to the season but doesn't have much left at 35 and isn't the defender he was several seasons ago.

Stephen Jackson and Birdman aren't good fits due to their contracts. If Anderson doesn't work out, they may be able to pickup a player who gets bought out after the trading deadline.

I really think the Clippers should look into trading for Stephen Jackson. He's a great passer, will hit clutch shots and he'll have the right attitude since he'll be on a playoff team with a chance to compete for the championship. We have Eric Bledsoe, Randy Foye, Ryan Gomes & Brian Cook as trade pieces along with a 1st round draft pick if it needs to be a sweetener to get it done.

I don't like Jackson at all and have stated the reasons(contract, black hole on offense etc.), but if we were to trade for him, we shouldn't ever give up anything of value.

He's not even playing anymore for Milwaukee(Skiles took him out of their rotation) and has negative trade value.

So if we were to trade for him, I'd only do so if they give up something as well and we won't trade any young talent or picks.

So the only thing I could see us doing would be something like this.

It's two trades:
First trade:

Jackson, Milwaukee 2nd round pick

for

Cook, Foye, Gomes

Second trade:

Carlos Delfino

for

TPE, 2nd round pick

We pretty much would gain Delfino and Jackson for Cook, Gomes and Foye, while also having a 2nd round pick somewhere between #37 - #45.
Though, we could then kiss good-bye to any hope of cap space for this summer and wouldn't be able to offer anything more then the mini midlevel and veterans exceptions to fill out our roster.
And that's the biggest reason why I wouldn't want to trade for a guy like Jackson.

Marvin Williams ????????

Marvin Williams continues to be an ancillary part of Atlanta's offense and sources say he would like a trade.

Williams is averaging just 9.6 points per game this season and would like to find a situation where his usage increases.

idk his contract situation, im sure it isnt pretty being he was a top a top 5 pick at one point. he hasnt panned out to what he was anticipated, but he can shoot, is tall, and has length. would be a nice pickup if the price were right imo

Wouldn't be a bad idea but we need someone who can play the 2.

Are bench is flat out despicable besides Mo Martin and Evans. Can't really blame the rookies though. So I would definitely try to see if we could get Marvin or even Beasley at this point. Anything to improve our damn team. Losing sucks!

Beasley would be a good pick up. Wonder what minny would ask for in a trade for him.

I think Minny would be willing to dump salary. Why the hell would they not give Love a max contract when they had the chance? That was just crazy stupid IMO.

It kinda sucks that Derrick Williams isn't even starting and Beasley is coming off the bench as well. Really don't know what their plan is, but **** I'm willing to help them out in order to help us out.

Rumor has it that the Lakers are looking into Beasley as well. Possibly using their TPE for him. I actually think that would work for both teams. Hopefully Olshey could swoop in and pull some thing before it happens, but I ain't trippin if he doesn't. Just as long as we do something.

Last nights game including the dreadful loss to the Spurs has been depressing. Sometimes I just wanna turn the television off during the 3rd quarter when the Clippers just looks lost and confuse on the court. **** frustrating as ****.
