He was supposed to bully their bench and give us instant offense. Instead, he's turning it over, leaving Jokic wide open for multiple 3's, and because he's been missing shots lately, he's not giving us any offense either. So you have a guy who basically provides nothing. He only played 15 minutes, but just the mere act of putting him in the game, seems to lead to a run for the Nuggets.
Trezz is a basket case mentally since his grandmother's death and also physically after missing 4 months of basketball.
But the lesson here is how much we depended on him, and now we have nobody to make up his 28 minutes and his 18 ppg. It's also had a domino effect on Lou, and also Reggie and Sham. We went from having the best bench in the league to having none at all. When Kawhi is out of the game, we're dead meat--just look at PG's minus-23.
Trezz lost himself tens of millions by taking a month off (the reason is irrelevant as long as it wasn't due to injury) and playing like **** after he came back. He got the 6th man of the year award, but also proved he can't be reliable when things count and more importantly he cannot be a starter in this league and therfore will not get starter money. He'd be lucky to get somoething better than 3 year $24m in a week FA year. Unfortunate but true. I love the guys energy, but only way he can score is pick and roll with Lou.

Doc is basically the best "players' coach" in the league. One of the those coaches that gets their team to play hard, but when it comes to X's and O's, or adjustments, is mediocre. Raptors had two of them, and both actually won COY, but never went far in the playoffs. Sam Mitchell and Dwane Casey. As soon as they replaced Casey with Nurse (who was an assistant under Casey), they win it all (of course, they had a little bit of help from the Klaw). Nurse is very good with making adjustments.
I was afraid of the Jazz because I thought Snyder was a better coach than Malone, and yet Malone looks like Popavich right now...
Why can't a so-called "player's coach" convince Trez to accept fewer minutes instead of letting him keep blowing leads? Why can't he get this team to keep playing hard when they get a big lead?
Not buying this "player's coach" stuff. Doc isn't good at that either.

I feared what was going to happen when he came back. It's not his fault it's docs fault for not putting him in places to succeed

You build a deep team for this purpose. You put your faith in Green, Patterson and Reggie. You make Reggie a SG and let someone else handle the ball. If Doc has brains the possibilities could be endless.

This would be a very good down payment on that answer being no.
