I wonder if he's on PED's?

Charles Cross had a difficult time going up against him on Saturday. He really struggled in that matchup. It's the only reasonable explanation.

Williams is being charged with a felony so I’m pretty much expecting him to be gone for most of the season now. Either by jail or suspension. Luckily they are fairly deep at DE. I expect the rookie Isaiah Land to get more snaps as a pass rusher now.

IIRC there we're questions about his character & off the field stuff regarding him leading up to the draft.

He'll definitely face a suspension. Likely 6 games at minimum. Bummer.

According to police, the controlled substance charge is for another substance -- not for possession of marijuana -- and is a state jail felony. The unlawful carrying of a weapon is a Class A misdemeanor.

Last December, Williams was involved in an accident not far from the team's practice facility in which his car was totaled. A month later, he was cited for misdemeanor reckless driving and, according to Plano Police, was driving close to 100 mph in a 55 mph zone and weaving through traffic before the accident.

Not great, Bob!

Yea he had some issues coming out of Ole Miss. I believe those were domestic violence issues though and not drug related. He’s definitely going to face a suspension. Unfortunately looks like he’s the next one to piss his career away.

F@#%!

That is probably a bigger loss than Overshown. Williams showed some flashes both last season and this preseason and this would have been the year he made himself known. He was our pass rush depth and now that is gone with our two main attacks being Parsons and D-Law and now not much behind them.

Armstrong did have a "decent" year last season hopefully he can take that even further.

That other thing that sucks about this is that it is actually worse than an injury IMO. Because now I pretty much view Williams as needing to be kicked off the roster and a busted pick altogether.

Keep in mind they still have Donte Fowler and the rookie Isaiah Land that Quinn really likes too.

Wow, reading that I thought for sure Jerry was going for a laugh there but watching that video I can't tell if that is without sarcasm or not.

The weapons charges I don't get though. Texas did away with gun licenses. I thought anyone of legal age could carry.

The official police report states Williams had a vape pen with synthetic narcotic (controlled substance) and marijuana on his possession. Also in his possession was a glock hand gun with 14 9mm rounds, no front license plate or registration sticker while doing 71 in a 45mph zone. Randy Gregory 2.0

Not good, and you never want that character type on a roster.

HOWEVER, I will say this isn't quite as bad as I presumed. It's bad, don't get me wrong. But I thought he had cocaine and some serious weapons to get cited on weapons in Texas. Also, 71 in a 45 is bad, but it isn't Henry Ruggs bad, and as far as we know he was sober.

I don't even understand why he has a weapon charge having just a pistol. I was under the impression that anyone of legal age could not only own a handgun, but walk around with them in public, no license needed.

What sucks though is that the type of individual that smokes weed and speeds around with friends are never the ones that are hard workers. Just being a partier in general is bad. You'd never see someone like JJ Watt speeding around with weed and guns. Because he only cares about playing football.

I was just passing on the official police report. I have zero tolerance for this type of behavior so I guess I'm not the best person to have this discussion with you.

The gun charge is just a misdemeanor and the only reason he was charged with that is because he had drugs on him.

That’s true but you can’t have a gun and illegal drugs on you. The drugs make having the handgun a misdemeanor. It’s barely a slap on the wrist. And for him to get busted with a vape pen and a small amount of weed he must have been dealing with a real a-hole cop or HE was being the a-hole and escalated the situation to where the cop took him to jail.
