I'm honestly very embarrassed to be a Jazz fan right now. The boos, throwing stuff on the floor. It's not acceptable.

woah I did not expect such class from any Jazz fans. Seems like most your fans are ruthless and straight up classless human beings no offense. I am judging by the way your board reacts to the Lakers. People were wishing death upon Derek Fisher's daughter, hating him for choosing family first, saying he sucks when he was such an integral part of your playoff success. I am just glad he is in a better city and better people because your people are just flat out ridiculous.

Oh and I will never forget that idiotic skit that your PA announcer played during halftime of a Laker/Jazz game several years ago mocking Karl Malone's decision to join the Lakers and poking fun of Kobe's sexual assault trial. I have seen many ruthless fans, but none of them as classless as the people out in Utah. At least in Philly they are ruthless because of their love for the city. In Utah, people just say stupid comments that is uncalled for in the world of Sports.

I know you can't change the way your people act, but if my fellow fans in LA uses any disrespect comments towards anybody I will have no respect whatsoever for them.

I don't live in Utah and have never been there, so I suspect that the hate for the Lakers must be a Utah thing. I've never really hated the Lakers, I mean, I became a Jazz fan in 1996 and we creamed you guys in the playoffs the next two seasons. The rapist talk is immature and uncalled for. First of all that girl was a loser, she OD's on drugs like twice and worked at a hotel, probably didn't have much going for her so of course she was going to get a piece of Kobe. While it's dispicable what he did, the rapist claims are nonsense and probably libelous since he wasn't convicted.

The booing of Fisher is also crap, but it wasn't every Jazz fan. I see articles in the Salt Lake Tribune about how they think Fisher wanted out. I mean, his daughter almost lost her eye, give the man a break. I'm suprised he hasn't been on Oprah yet. I don't know why everyone is upset, we all hated having Fisher last season because Sloan mostly played him at the 2, and now we are better off with Ronnie Brewer starting and Korver coming off the bench. However, I do notice Fisher shooting much better this season than last, he was terible last season. I'd say that I have to hate him for shooting so poorly last year. Just looking at his numbers, he's shooting almost 6% better and 10% better from downtown. We all agree we are better off without Fisher playing the 2 guard, so I don't know why Jazz fans are so upset. Do they feel taken advantage of or used? Kind of immature to be upset even if he did. It's not like Deron Williams did that to us, it was Derek Fisher. Plus, I wouldn't question his motives with the condition of his daughter. Some posters are even misinformed saying things like "oh, the treatment is in New York so he signed with Los Angeles." Well, the operation and initial treatment was in New York but LA is one of several places where she can be treated. I wish Tatum Fisher the best, but I'd love to see Fisher struggle with his shot again. Like it matters with Farmer backing him up...

I never saw the skit because I didn't have league pass back then, only read about it so I can't really comment on it. Didn't seem very appropriate though. The fans throwing stuff is unnecessary and poor sportsmanship, I mean, if you're going to throw something at least try to hit Harpring.

I don't think I'm a classy fan here, just calling it like I see it. I like to go to the Hornets board and talk smack once in a while and I even trolled in a Nuggets chat room two weeks ago but the Jazz hate for the Lakers is probably jealously. I bet a lot of them would be Lakers fans if there were no NBA team in Utah. The hate that Jazz fans have for the Lakers sort of pisses me off and reading the Jazz boards today, I swear, I think I'd root for the Lakers to win the title if they make it farther than us just to see all the Jazz fans get pissed off.

Like Reggie Jackson said, fans don't boo nobodies. I view the treatment the Lakers get throughout the league as a sign of fear, respect and envy.

from a post in the GB of the Lakers-Jazz game:

ace8 wrote:oh, and also, there was a laker fan (laker shirt, was holding a sign that said "kobe for mvp," on one side and "the jazz suck" on the other) sitting front row. front row!!!! and he threw something on to the court and he got kicked out right after. now im gonna go ahead and generalize, like most do on these boards, and assume that all laker fans throw stuff now. i mean hell, people boo fisher, and suddenly everyone in utah is classless.

yup, those laker fans....always throwing stuff on the court. :noway:

Anyone notice TNT had our road record wrong. They had us at 22-13 when we're really 23-13(at that time) now its 24-13

I saw that I knew it was wrong

ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can't do for New Jersey.

Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallow be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done. On earth that isn't in New Jersey.

This game's in the refrigerator: the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the New Jersey's jigglin'.
