I think the Artest talk is done, he wants 10M. I think the top three picks should be Rose, Mayo, Love...That will be the three player run for the ROY next year, with Beasley no where to be found.

beasley is a great talent...bt i just dont see the will in him to take it to the next level.

mayo's been quieting everyone...hes letting his game speak and at first he was a #6 or 5 pick...now they are even talking him about being a 2nd pick...

Wow, a physical starting power forward AND the No. 2 pick in the draft for little old Lamar Odom. That's a first-ballot candidate for the Real GM Masturbatory Trade Rumors Hall of Fame.

* Just to let you guys know, there is now an Official NBA DRaft thread where everything draft can be discussed by the members of our Laker community.

It is stickied at the top of the board. Here's a link to it. *

This would be a great trade for both teams.

Gives Miami a surefire better chance to win now, and cuts the Lakers' salary. The fact that Miami has been shopping the pick tells me what I thought - Beasley has some red flags, and Bayless and Mayo, despite the reports of pairing them up with Wade in the backcourt, their games are too similar to Wade's - neither is a true, natural PG.

If I were Miami, there's no question Wade-Marion-Odom would be ready to go next year. And considering Marion and Odom are big expiring contracts, there's always the potential to nab another disgruntled star.

If I were the Lakers, OJ Mayo seems to be the natural choice as the other guard in the triangle. He has all the right skills, work ethic, feel for the game, and defensively, he has the size and instincts to prevent that position from becoming a liability. He's not a true PG, but his skills and size works quite well for us.

If Haslem and Blount are included, a re-signed Turiaf is most likely going to be a casualty.

Miami did virtually nothing in this draft.

The #2/Haslem for Odom centered deal would've been sick for us. Never understood why Miami would pay that much for Odom tho. Maybe Riles wants to give a little back from the Shaq deal or something. lol
