There is some serious talent on that team, actually. Kurt might get COY if they make the playoffs, which is not entirely impossible. Jefferson, Brewer, Love, Gomes, Wilkins, Q-Rich etc is not an all bad roster. Kurt is a good coach. Then maybe add Rubio next year... They could be an annual playoffs team for years to come.

it wasnt jerry west pulling strings in memphis, it was chris wallace (a former celtics GM)
didnt exactly work out for the celtics until the summer of 2007...
before that, it was a 20 yr drought for those bostonites...
its wasnt as if mchale dealt KG in his prime either, but 3 yrs after and exiting his prime when KG was 31
bird hasnt exactly helped the celtics franchise along from his position in Indy either...

We got Kirk Snyder, a 2010 second-round draft pick and cash considerations for Gerald Fricken Green. Sure Snyder is in the looney bin now, but that is still great value for a kid who is dumb as a brick.
Theo Ratliff's expiring was pretty valuable as a trade asset, but Taylor decided to buy him out instead.
Not to mention we got Boston's 1st and our 1st back.
The only one that was less of an asset was Telfair. We still managed to move him.
