Provide proof of this.

There is some serious talent on that team, actually. Kurt might get COY if they make the playoffs, which is not entirely impossible. Jefferson, Brewer, Love, Gomes, Wilkins, Q-Rich etc is not an all bad roster. Kurt is a good coach. Then maybe add Rubio next year... They could be an annual playoffs team for years to come.

I like your enthusiasm, but Brewer's stock is at an all time low. He has to prove himself this year, otherwise he will be considered a near Adam Morrison sized bust. Gomes is a solid SF, but we would like an upgrade (Perhaps make a play for Rudy Gay, or Gerald Wallace). Wilkins does little for us, and Richardson is purely an expiring, who will likely be gone before the season starts.

The Wolves are in for a rough year. Kahn has said it, Rambis has said it. But we have some trade assets and cap space in 2010, along with Al, Love and Flynn. Hopefully Rubio and Pekovic come over next season. If not, they should net some solid players in a trade.

Wolves fans just have to wait it out a little while longer.

Lakers need to implant more former Lakers all over the league. Then we'll get a lot of rip off deals like the one we got for Gasol.

it wasnt jerry west pulling strings in memphis, it was chris wallace (a former celtics GM)

didnt exactly work out for the celtics until the summer of 2007...

before that, it was a 20 yr drought for those bostonites...

its wasnt as if mchale dealt KG in his prime either, but 3 yrs after and exiting his prime when KG was 31

bird hasnt exactly helped the celtics franchise along from his position in Indy either...

Yeah, I think that KG trade was a good deal for the Wolves. Al is a beast. Gomes is solid, and the others became trade assets.

Let's not exaggerate

We got Kirk Snyder, a 2010 second-round draft pick and cash considerations for Gerald Fricken Green. Sure Snyder is in the looney bin now, but that is still great value for a kid who is dumb as a brick.

Theo Ratliff's expiring was pretty valuable as a trade asset, but Taylor decided to buy him out instead.

Not to mention we got Boston's 1st and our 1st back.

The only one that was less of an asset was Telfair. We still managed to move him.

I'll give you the 1st round picks(maybe), but Gerald Green and what we got for Gerald Green isn't anything worth mentioning. Ratliff was salary relief, I can't give you that he was good trade bait if we didn't trade him and never had any intention of trading him.

Actually probably shouldn't have given you the picks as legitimate trade bait, considering the Boston pick was 28th overall, and our pick given back would probably turned into a 2nd round pick.
