Perhaps if we found a way to get him to his proper, non-ball-distributor position, he wouldn't be such a chucker...

Thoughts? Is there anyway to 'salvage this relationship?'

he hasn't been a ball-distributor aka pg at all, he plays next to fisher or blake every minute he's on the floor.

I get that there's no true PG in the Triangle... It seems like all we've had is combo-guards pretty much since Nick the Quick... :-?
My reference to 'Floor General' was sarcastic and pointed at his inability to make the necessary decisions with the ball...

But just because he's on the floor with Fish and Blake doesn't mean they don't share duties in the Triangle's form of PG.

Brown dribbles with the ball, distributes and brings the ball up the court quite a bit.
And I thought when he came here he did an interview where he indicated Mitch and Phil wanted him to become more of a 'PG'???

Do we watch the same games? Brown overdribbles with the ball, he hardly distributes coz he thinks he's the second coming of Michael Jordan, and he doesn't know how to bring the ball up unless it's on a fast break, IF he gets lucky and keeps his head up. He has no handles and will never be a PG. He's nothing more than a highlight reel type of player, and that even comes once in a while now. Mitch and Phil wanted him to be more of a PG when neither Fisher nor Farmar were getting the job done three seasons ago. Except he still didn't prove he was capable of handling the ball even with his freakishly huge catcher mitts he calls 'hands'. His IQ is lower than this cup of ice I'm holding in my hand right now.

Make him go away.

Yes, a real forum not filled with kids and 'lol' and ' ' as replies on every thread.

Don't let Ima see that you winked at me... that wouldn't be good...

Those were exactly the points I was trying to make in that, when he tries to be a PG type player, he absolutely sucks at it...

I want him gone too but he is athletic and we don't have much of that, so my question was, do you think if we regulated him to purely a spot-up shooter (way) off the bench, could there still be a place for him?

I mean, everyone hates Luke because he's about as athletic as his father... Now...
He has all the BBIQ in the world, though... But you can't teach hops... So can you save a dumb-athletic guy?

My knee jerk reaction to this season is to dump everyone but Kobe, Pau, LO and Bynum... But that isn't practical...

Just because he is athletic doesn't mean anything if he doesn't know how to use his advantage. He overdribbles for more than half of the shot clock then tosses up some crazy shots which has no chance of going in. He either ignores the post or he simply couldn't toss an entry pass. On defense, he is clueless 70% of the time. I mean seriously how many more times do we have to see his "oh **** i am gonna take a head charge to my guy without even putting my hands up to contest" crap? Not to mention his moronic dobule team which leaves his guy COMPLETELY wide open.

And no, he didn't have "half" of a good season. He had two good months and then crashed back down to the earth. Coincidentaly, that's when Sasha got traded. If Phil Jackson can't get him to do what he is supposed to do, what makes you think anyone else could?

Honestly, I think the Warriors could be a good fit. Fast breaks all day and hopefully better defense next season.

I think the Lakers will hardly trade him cause he is the only bench guy, Odom is not really bench player.
