That isn't true at all. People use drugs to escape reality. Almost like the Allegory of the cave. you create your own cave and choose to live in a world of false truths because they make you feel better about yourself. Pretty sad stuff if you think about it.

This is also not true. I've done them for both reasons. Experience and escape.
