A nice 3" beauty, wasn't even foul hooked.

And the season doesn't start til next weekend, anyways.

that's fairly small for a bass (largemouth or small?) are you even allowed to keep them at that size or did you have to throw it back?

lol not even close to keeper size. it was a baby that for some reason just wanted my hook right at the shoreline.

Dude I swear we are the same person hahaha I went fishing yesterday as well. The past two trips I didn't get lucky and all I caught was some weak ass sting rays.

Yesterday I caught a Sargo and two baby Croakers. Newport Beach, balboa island. I swear bro as weird as this May sound reeling in a fish is almost similar to having sex hahahah what a awesome sensation :D

I typically lake fish, but i want to pick up fly fishing for creek/trout fishing. i shore fish mostly, but am looking into a small row boat for 2-3 people. Typical shoreline catches are various bass, perch, sunfish (bluegills/sunnies). In a boat, same stuff is possible, plus musky, walleye, sometimes pike and random other fish in deeper water. There are lake trout, but the rainbow are in the creeks. Most state lakes and a bunch of rivers/creeks are stocked multiple times a year here.

Only "ocean" fishing i've done is for flounder in the Chesapeake Bay.

I think there are some beaches along the Allegheny or Monongahela.

Lakes have beaches. If the water is warm, I like to just walk into the lake and cast. You can cast from the shore line if there is enough clearing in the trees to cast.

If I were to go to Pittsburgh for a few day where are good places to visit. Im planning a graduation trip somewhere with my girl, but we haven't decided where we want to go.
NY, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Hawaii, and Vancouver is a possible option.

Sick! I bet there's soo much good fishing out there were you're at. As for the boat you might get , it's pretty much a guarantee you'll catch a big beast. Some dude yesterday who had like this mini boat/jet ski came back to the dock with a 18 pound halibut. When your floating in the middle of the water there's a really high chance your gonna catch a beast. I'm thinking about kayak fishing the next time I go out there.

Here's the Sargo and two other fishes I caught last night.
