A nice 3" beauty, wasn't even foul hooked.
And the season doesn't start til next weekend, anyways.
Dude I swear we are the same person hahaha I went fishing yesterday as well. The past two trips I didn't get lucky and all I caught was some weak ass sting rays.
Yesterday I caught a Sargo and two baby Croakers. Newport Beach, balboa island. I swear bro as weird as this May sound reeling in a fish is almost similar to having sex hahahah what a awesome sensation

Gek did you'shore fish or hit up a Lake?

I typically lake fish, but i want to pick up fly fishing for creek/trout fishing. i shore fish mostly, but am looking into a small row boat for 2-3 people. Typical shoreline catches are various bass, perch, sunfish (bluegills/sunnies). In a boat, same stuff is possible, plus musky, walleye, sometimes pike and random other fish in deeper water. There are lake trout, but the rainbow are in the creeks. Most state lakes and a bunch of rivers/creeks are stocked multiple times a year here.
Only "ocean" fishing i've done is for flounder in the Chesapeake Bay.
