Lakers will go hard for both Kessler and Duren in the offseason

I guess it's part of the tanking... Kessler is a super elite offensive rebounder... why would you take him away from the boards and his best qualities?

Yes, I liked what I saw... I also think they need something more proven... Claxton would be perfect, he's elite at catching lobs... but above all, he's also good at Bam, probably the most versatile 1/5 defender in the league.

Cut Redish and Len and upgrade Goodwin and Jemison the standard contracts.

The downside to going after Claxton is who the Lakers have to send back. He's making 25 mil, so it's a minimum 2, if not 3 rotation pieces in return.

The benefit of trading for a guy like Mark Williams, Walker Kessler, or Jalen Duren, is that it only takes Knecht as salary ballast.

Ditto for free agents Clint Capela, Jericho Sims, Kai Jones, Dwight Powell, and really, the Lakers need more wing and center depth more than anything else. I imagine free agents have the Lakers as the #1 destination for getting playing time and exposure if they can't land a suitable contract.

Probably the most logical thing to do since we rarely see Reddish and Len play. We could also cut Shake. But for sure I would want to have Goodwin and Jemison in the playoffs. Just need to finalize who would I want as an extra weapon. Shake for offense, Cam for defense or Len/Koloko as another big body. Depends really on the team's health situation or need come play off time.

I was thinking about a Vandervilt/Maxi/Knecht type offer for Claxton. Vandervilt would still play fewer minutes with Claxton, Maxi's current production is replaceable by a minimal player and Knecht can be replaced in free agency (Kennard/Gary Trent/THJ are FAs)... it would give LAL 48 minutes of vertical threat (replicating Lively/Gafford of the finalist Mavs)....

Lakers need an upgrade at C bad...too bad they didn't sign Kai Jones..now I know he's a headcase, but he's an athletic freak and he's playing great on the Mavs... there's a chance DAL gives him a contract and in that case I think Gafford becomes available...Claxton is good but he's payed too much for what he gives you

Goodwin’s two-way is over. Whom do we waive? Cam, Len, Milton? It won’t be Bronny. I say dump Cam but Len looks lost, too. I like Milton and Koloko as third stringers. Gotta keep Goodwin.

Gafford is very likely to be available, he's an elite lob threat and has excellent chemistry with Luka... but he's an average defender at best... I understand that JJ is getting the most out of the pieces he has, but I think ideally, to cover Luka/Reaves and not put as much physical strain on LeBron at 40, the ideal would be an elite rim protector... that Zubac/Kessler archetype.

Cam waived, Goodwin signed. One 2-way spot opened. So we can now sign new 2-way player for some experiment for an extra piece in the front court ?
Kyle Kelly and Jamarion Sharp comes to mind

Can we also sign Stanley Johnson to a 10-day contract to see how its like while keeping the last chance of sign and waive a final player available ?

Lakers would be smart to go after Kai Jones and test how much money Dallas would be willing to match

Just sign a decent center and another wing player this summer, and let's see if we can try to get Giannis in 2026. He'll sign a 2-year deal + 3rd year player option for 180 million this summer with Bucks (I think?).

What are the chances Lakers get Jaren Jackson Jr this summer?

He's expiring and if Memphis flames out, they may want to rebuild.

25 million + another player = Rui Hachimura + Vando / Kleber
Kobe Bryant forever

***** Day'Ron Sharpe 23 years $4M ... I'm very Intrigued with him, will cost 1 FRP and maybe even pick swap or something and of course salary matching.

**** Jakob Poeltl 29years $19mil Not sure If his available but worth a shot.

****I doubt Pacers trade Turner $20m 30years and think they will be happy to pay him his next contract In the offseason, but this Is the NBA and anything can happen.

**** Duren $4.5m 21 years old, good young center but I don't see Pistons trading Duren they need bigs as well.

*** Deandre Ayton 26years $$34m: Rui, Gabe, Vando trade straight up?? ... I'm not sure I'm willing to trade Vando, but I am very Intrigued with Ayton believe a new team would do him great esp the Lakers with Luka.

* Claxton $27m 25 years Is good but earns way too much for what he produces to get a trade going for him would be; Rui, Gabe and probably a FRP or pick swap of some sort.

In red Is who I'm targeting IN the offseason If right trades came around.

We need cost controlled center:

Kessler, Sharp would be solid
or draft Hansen Yang!

Huh?? wha??
I absolutely vehemently disagree with this one ..
ayton is an absolute loser and a mental midget of a person.
I wouldnt even trade Gabe for him straight up. Gabe is WINNER and his mindset and hustle will produce more for our team than ayton ever will.
Sorry

Go After Naz reid

This guy is a big game changer.

Lakers should think about retiring Lebron. Statue if retire now.

Develop some offense for Vanderbuilt. A great defensive player who needs to learn offense. He is a net liablity if he cannot get a few more buckets and delevelop and sport on the floor
