If you can get the Knicks or Sixers pick for Randle/Clarkson you wouldn't do it?
One guy is coming off two surgeries and hasn't played even 15 minutes, the other will be a rfa at the end of the year looking for dough.
I mean if you can come away with two of Okafor/Towns and Russell/Mudiay at the draft you do it. You say bye to Randle and Clarkson without blinking. Then you just sign two vets to fill out the starting spot with your cap space.
Mitch and Jim would jump at that IMO, hell I'd jump at it and I like Randle, but you would have two top prospects like in for 4 years at less than the mle money before the cap booms up and you would free up spots for two strong vet starters to make a competing team and increase learning curve
Mirjalovic wrote:i think Randle will fit offensively with Town or Okafor, plus Randle is not tweener, 6'9 is an ideal size for a PF.. Karl Malone, McAdoo, Elvin Hayes, IMO.

His height is fine, his wingspan on the other hand is not impressive. His wingspan is definitely in the lower echelon of NBA power forwards.
He always get compared to Zach Randolph, but Zach's wingpan is like six inches longer.

I'm not at all worried about his injuries and if you take that away it's a 6'9" beast rebounding PF with freakish handles and a promising shot development vs
The unknown athletic PG better than Exum I think but big>small
The slow PG who shoots the lights out but is likely gone at 4 and big>small
The athletic 3 defender with no shot? FFFFFF No
The Defensive Center? (not a fit with #2 big)
Mario or Kristap? gamble... large gamble
and then on top you mortgage Clarkson on top of that? no way.
