I'm open to trading Smart. But the return must be an incentive that is actually useful to the Wizards.
Oh I agree this deal doesn't make sense for Washington. I led with that myself. I just don't think the relative value of the picks is particularly relevant to the deal.
But there are lots of ways to take advantage of financial flexibility under each of the lines. I think you are being too quick to dismiss that. Its why we see teams dumping expiring contracts every summer even with no plan to use cap space. They use that spending power in other ways.
