LAL/DAL

Post#1 » by SportsFan215 » Mon Jan 14, 2008 10:59 pm

The Lakers need a center and a large body in the middle with Bynum out.

Radmanovic/Mihm/2 '09 Seconds for Diop/Hassell

The Mavs get a sharp shooter and a good role player. Mihm will replace Diop, and the Lakers give their 2 '09 Second round picks to sweeten the deal.

Diop fills in for Bynum, while he is out and possibly resign him at the end of the year. Hassell brings more veteran leadership to the team and some solid defense.

Thoughts?

Ha. No way the Lakers get to ditch Vlads contract AND pick up a young C in the process....Nothing from the lakers side has ANY positive value, while Diop has BIG value in Dallas, and Hassell is close to even...

If Mihm is so good at replacing Diop for Dallas, the Lakers should just keep him and use him to "fill in for Bynum".

The Lakers don't want Ben Wallace. He would not be very good in the western conference. Personally I really like Diop. Which is a reason why I proposed this trade. He is a little better than Mihm, but I thought that Radmanovic could help the Mavs with his outside shooting despite his contract. Anyways they are getting rid of Hassell's contract. What if the Lakers replaced their 2 seconds for a first rounder?

Diop is the D end of the Mavs C rotation. Mohm does not fill that role, mavs do not need him. Now talk about Wallace to Dal, and we can begin the discussion.

What would DAL be willing to give up for Wallace?

Diop?
Terry?

I'm gonna guess Dampier would be involved, simply for financial reasons.

the Mavs just traded for Hassell.

the answer for the Lakeshow is to increase Turiaf and Odom's burn and to work in Brown and Mihm, but slowly.

I don't think the Mavs would give up Dampier for Ben Wallace. Big Ben is in a major decline.

And the Mavs would not like the original deal either. They need Diop. Dampier is best when he splits minutes.

No way... Lakers are stuck with that trainwreck that is Radmanovich's contract, just like Dallas is stuck with Dampier's.
